Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to this website and to the repair and installation work we perform.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.arttechappliancerepair.com and the appliance repair and installation services provided by ArtTech Appliance Repair (“ArtTech”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using this site or booking our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
ArtTech Appliance Repair, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME AND TYPE, e.g. ArtTech Appliance Repair LLC], of [BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS]. California Contractors State License Board licence number: [CSLB LICENCE NUMBER, IF APPLICABLE].
2. Services we provide
We provide diagnosis, repair and installation of residential household appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, ranges, ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, washers, dryers, range hoods and related built-in appliances. We serve Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Malibu and Orange County. Service outside these areas is at our discretion and may carry a travel charge.
3. Booking and scheduling
Submitting the form on our contact page, calling or texting us is a request for service, not a confirmed booking. An appointment is confirmed only when we say so by phone, text or email.
Appointments are scheduled within arrival windows rather than at exact times. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the agreed window, but traffic, parts availability and the length of earlier jobs can cause delays. We are not liable for losses caused by a late or rescheduled appointment.
4. Estimates, diagnosis and authorization
Most repairs begin with an on-site diagnostic visit, which carries a diagnostic fee of [DIAGNOSTIC FEE]. We will tell you this fee before we come out.
After diagnosis we give you a price for the repair. No repair work begins until you authorize that price. If the repair turns out to require additional parts or labour beyond what was quoted, we will contact you for approval before continuing.
Quotes are valid for [QUOTE VALIDITY PERIOD, e.g. 30 days] and assume the appliance is accessible and in the condition described.
5. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing. We accept [ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS]. Unpaid balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by California law, and you are responsible for reasonable collection costs.
6. Warranty
We warrant our labour for [LABOUR WARRANTY PERIOD, e.g. 90 days] from the date of service. Parts we supply carry the manufacturer’s warranty, typically [PARTS WARRANTY PERIOD, e.g. 90 days to 1 year]; we will pass through any manufacturer warranty claim on your behalf.
This warranty covers the specific repair performed. It does not cover:
- Unrelated faults, or new faults in other components of the same appliance
- Damage from misuse, accident, power surges, pests, flooding or improper installation by others
- Appliances that have been worked on by someone else after our visit
- Normal wear, cosmetic damage, or customer-supplied parts
To make a warranty claim, contact us at (818) 581-8750 before arranging any other repair.
7. Your responsibilities
To let us do the work safely and correctly, you agree to:
- Give accurate information about the appliance and the fault
- Provide safe, clear access to the appliance and to any shut-off valves, outlets or breakers
- Confirm that you own the appliance or are authorized to approve work on it
- Secure pets and keep children away from the work area
- Tell us about known hazards at the property, including asbestos, mould, pest infestation or unsafe wiring
If our technician cannot safely access or service the appliance on arrival, a trip charge may apply.
8. Cancellations and missed appointments
Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. If nobody is present at the property during the agreed arrival window, a missed-appointment fee of [MISSED APPOINTMENT FEE] may apply.
9. Parts
Some parts, particularly for older or luxury built-in appliances, are subject to manufacturer lead times outside our control. Special-order parts may be non-returnable, and we may require a deposit. Removed parts are disposed of unless you ask for them at the time of service.
10. Older appliances and pre-existing condition
Appliances that are old, heavily worn or previously repaired by others may reveal further faults once opened, and components can fail during otherwise correct servicing. We will always tell you what we find, but we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or for the failure of worn components that we did not cause.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability arising out of any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost food, lost income, water damage arising from pre-existing plumbing faults, or damage to property caused by conditions we did not create.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, e.g. Los Angeles County], California, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Changes to these terms
